By creating an account or using Out Here, you agree to these Terms of Service. When you sign up, we record the date, time, and version of the terms you accepted. If you do not agree, do not use Out Here.
Out Here provides:
You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. Age rules on Out Here:
You agree to provide accurate information, including your real date of birth, and to keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
Out Here is free. There are no session fees, packages, or subscriptions. We do not take payment from you to use the platform.
Aura is earn-only and has no monetary value. You earn it by taking part — checking in at a run, joining a game, curating events. It can never be purchased with money, cashed out, exchanged, or transferred, and it cannot be redeemed for anything of monetary value. Every Aura credit and debit is recorded in an internal ledger.
The Arena is not gambling. Arena stakes are calls on simulated matchups between automated players. Outcomes are deterministic simulations, not real sporting events. No real currency is involved on either side, nothing of value is risked, and no prize of monetary value is offered. Aura balances may be adjusted or reset at any time.
Attendance stakes let you put Aura behind your own RSVP. When you check in at the field, your stake comes back plus a share of what no-shows forfeited. If you do not show, your stake goes to the players who did.
You must be 18 or older, verified by the date of birth on your account, to place Aura stakes of any kind — Arena calls and attendance stakes alike.
Pickup games on Out Here are organized by members of the community, not by us:
Some league organizers charge entry fees or offer prizes. Where they do, the organizer collects those fees off-platform — for example through the organizer’s own payment links. Out Here takes no cut, processes no payments, and is not a party to those transactions. Any dispute about a fee or prize is between you and the organizer.
You can post short text posts, videos, emoji and canned comments, events, leagues, venues, and fields. You keep ownership of everything you post. You grant Out Here a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display it so the app can work.
Prohibited content — do not post:
Text is filtered for profanity server-side. Every piece of user content — posts, videos, comments, profiles, events — can be reported in the app. Reports go to a human moderation queue; content that breaks these rules is hidden or removed, and repeat offenders are suspended or banned. You can also block another user, which removes their content from your view.
Copyright (DMCA): if you believe content on Out Here infringes your copyright, email us at the address in section 13 and we will review and take it down where required.
When using Out Here, you agree to:
Playing sports carries inherent risk of injury. Games, leagues, and events found through Out Here are run by community members on fields and at venues we do not control. You participate at your own risk and are responsible for judging whether a game, field, or event is safe for you. Out Here is a directory and organizing tool — we are not the organizer of, and are not responsible for, what happens at a game or event.
The Out Here name, design, and code are owned by Out Here and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from them without written permission. Content you post remains yours, under the license in section 7.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including for prohibited content, abusive behavior, or misuse of the platform. You can permanently delete your own account at any time in Settings under Danger Zone — deletion is immediate and removes all of your data.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Out Here shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill arising from your use of our services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
These terms are versioned. If we make a material change, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use Out Here. Smaller changes are posted here with an updated date.
